Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are our contractual obligation with you to provide this service. However, please note that the purchaser of this system will need to ensure they have the appropriate consent/legal power to place such a system in another person’s property. If they object, you as the system owner will need to ensure this objection is handled appropriately.

What do we do with your information?

We use the information that you have given us in order to ensure that your device is packed and shipped to you correctly. We also then use it to manage your monitoring system and work with you as the system owner to resolve any technical or warranty-based issues.

We share this information with our 2 technical support organisations that are based in Hong Kong and China. Both of whom are part of the Assurelink family and we have various contractual and technical arrangements with us to ensure they protect the data to the same level a UK based entity would.

How do we store your information?

Your information is securely stored within the European Union however it can be accessed from our agents in the UK, Hong Kong and China in order to protect and maintain the system.

We keep sensor data for a period of 1 year and contact data for the duration of your account plus 6 years once your account is closed. We will then dispose your information by secure electronic means following industry standards. No sensor data is stored on the sensors themselves.
